Chiller Replacement & System Upgrades

GRH worked closely with LH-Plc to finalise the design of a chiller replacement with system modifications, a new support platform and pump upgrades. This also included working very closely with the NHS trust and Vinci facilities to programme shutdowns of the critical system to allow the connection of temporary chillers to keep operating theaters in use throughout the chiller replacements. GRH completed the design, fabrication and installation of the new chiller support platform in house with independent structural engineers sign off.

90% of the new chilled water services were fabricated off site to help minimize on-site hot works.

On completion of the installation GRH completed flow balancing of the primary system including pump commissioning and thermal insulation.

Works were completed on time, in budget and to a very high standard.
