Chiller replacement with new chilled primary system.

GRH worked closely with LH-Plc to further the initial design of a twin chiller replacement with substantial primary system replacement.

A new primary chilled water system including new 400mm header, pumps and buffer vessels installed to the roof rerouting existing secondary circuits to the new location. New bespoke chiller control panels and associated control & power wiring was installed as part of these upgrade works.

Temporary chillers were used to keep comfort cooling live to the building throughout the install limiting any down time.

A high mount of the new chilled water services were fabricated off site to help minimise on-site hot works and speed up the installation with only 2No weekend shutdowns.

On completion of the installation GRH completed flow balancing of the primary system including pump commissioning, trace heating & thermal insulation.

Works were completed on time and to a very high standard.
